EWB stands for ‘Extended Wheelbase’, which means that the chassis is longer than the Bentayga – and all that extra space is used to give passengers in the rear more legroom. Design
The Bentayga EWB Mulliner features a wide range of exclusive Mulliner details, inside and out – as well as numerous features that elevate the travelling experience to new heights.
The first thing you will notice are the sparkling Mulliner front grille and Mulliner wing vents, which, together with the 22” Mulliner wheels, give the car incredible presence. In addition to the ‘B’ badges on the D-pillars, you may also notice that the ‘B’ badge in the centre of each wheel remains level at all times – a beautiful example of Mulliner’s attention to detail. Satin silver mirror caps add a further touch of sophistication.
Inside, unique Mulliner features are on display everywhere you look, from the dashboard clock to the graphics in the driver’s information panel. Sustainable Olive Tan leather trim is used extensively throughout the cabin, which is encircled in a ring of rich Grand Black veneer. Chrome overlays add an extra layer of detail in selected areas, as does a stunning diamond-milled aluminium finish on the centre console.
The rear doors close electrically when you press and hold a button. The stunning Bentley Diamond Illumination in the leather door panels, meanwhile, has the power to transform the space, allowing LED lights to shine through tiny perforations in many of the leather panels, in your choice of 30 colours.
Passengers in the rear can recline their seats, thanks to the Bentley Airline Seat Specification, with the seat behind the front passenger seat also featuring an electrically deployed footrest. For occupants of all four main seats, the Postural Adjust feature makes micro-adjustments to the seat cushioning throughout your journey, to reduce fatigue, while Seat Auto Climate keeps you feeling cool and dry.
Animated Welcome Lamps by Mulliner project a stunning visual onto the ground as you open the doors, before you step over the illuminated 3D treadplates – each of which is inscribed with the words, ‘Handcrafted in Crewe, England’ – and into a cabin like no other.
Even the keys are presented in a Mulliner box with a matching pouch for each key set, crafted in colours that match your choice of interior hides.
Performance
Imposing and spacious this vehicle may be, but like every Bentley, it delivers outstanding performance and incredible dynamic handling. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 4.0 litre V8 engine that can propel you and your passengers from zero to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds). With a power output of 542 bhp (550 PS) and 770 Nm of torque, it can reach a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).
It also comes with some additional intelligent chassis systems. The Bentley Dynamic Ride anti-roll system ensures maximum comfort when cruising in a straight line, without compromising on stability and control through corners, even when driving at high speed. All-wheel steering, meanwhile, allows you to both manoeuvre with ease at low speeds and change lanes smoothly on the highway.
